Elevator & Lift Install/Repair (JOC) - Contractor must carry appropriate licenses and/or certifications. Contractor must be able to provide installation and repair service for a variety of brands of elevators and wheelchair lifts. Contractor will be responsible for repairs and purchasing of all parts. Contractor shall have adequate and qualified staff in order to provide WCPSS with the service and/or response time requested. Must be able to handle multiple calls at one time. The scope and time frame for individual projects to be accomplished as part of this contract will be defined on a per work order basis. If an urgent corrective maintenance request in made by WCPSS, the contractor will be expected to report to the site within 2 hours. If the urgent request is made by WCPSS after 5:00, WCPSS will determine if the contractor needs to work overtime to facilitate the repair. Otherwise, the contractor will be expected to report to the site at the beginning of the next business day. Overtime is deemed as: after 5:00 pm, weekends or holidays and requires pre-approval by WCPSS. All work must be done against the work order and purchase order numbers provided to the contractor. Contractor is responsible for any required permitting in order to perform job task. The scope of work defined in this Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be referred to as the PROJECT. Deliverables shall include a pricing information, experience and methodology for commercial moves pertaining to public school environments Job order contract or service agreement for wake county public school system's maintenance & operations dept. The rates submitted will be for the period of July 1, 2024 through July 31,2025 and are eligible for renewal. PERFORMANCE BOND: In case of default by the contractor, WCPSS may procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the contractor responsible for any excess cost occasioned thereby. WCPSS reserves the right to require performance bond or other acceptable alternative guarantees from successful bidder without expense to WCPSS. Owner Rights: WCPSS reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all offers when such rejection is deemed to be in the best interest of WCPSS. WCPSS reserves the right to waive any minor informality or technicality in proposals received.
WCPSS reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bids and, unless otherwise specified by the bidder, to accept any item in the bid. If either a unit price or extended price is obviously in error and the other is obviously correct, the incorrect price will be disregarded. WCPSS reserves the right to accept any item or group of items on a multi-item bid. WCPSS also reserves the right to reject any and all bids. In addition, on TERM CONTRACTS, WCPSS reserves the right to make partial, progressive, or multiple awards: where it is advantageous to award separately by items; or where more than one supplier is needed to provide the contemplated requirements as to quantity, quality, delivery, service, geographical areas; other factors deemed by WCPSS to be pertinent or peculiar to the purchase in question.
