The project involves the reroofing of approximately 41,610 sq. ft. of the Crow Wing County Highway Building, consisting of the following: Demolition of the existing roof ballast, EPDM membrane and coverboard; Replacement of a section of existing metal roof deck at one of the roof drain locations; Providing and installing a new EPDM ballasted roof system, along with a new layer of 2-inch poly iso insulation; Adding additional wood blocking to the roof perimeter and tightening up the gaps in the existing insulation. The work includes new sheet metal coping, flashing and caps, and adjusting the existing roof drain heights. Each bid must be accompanied with a cashier's check, bid bond, U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. Security is payable to the Owner as a guarantee of prompt execution of the contract in accordance with the proposal and Contract documents, along with furnishing Payment and Performance Bonds of One Hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount acceptable to the Owner. Each bid must be submitted in a bidding envelope that is securely sealed. The envelope shall be plainly marked to indicate its contents and show the following information on the exterior of the envelope: 1. Project Title; 2. Bid Category; 3. The Class, Number, and Renewal Date of license held by the Bidder; 4. The Name of the Person, Firm or Corporation submitting the bid; 5. Acknowledgement of all Addenda. Bidders must be licensed for the full amount of the bid as required by section 43-07-12. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Bids are to be submitted on the Bid Form provided in the project manual. Bids not received on the Bid Form will be cause for rejection
