**As of March 13, 2024. Project is cancelled. No definite date for the rebid.** Performing all work for constructing SR59 Water Main & Sewer Main Relocation (Volkert Proj. No. 1177300A). The work consists primarily of the installation of approximately 6,800 LF 12" PVC potable water main, 550 LF 20" HDPE raw water main HDD and 1,600 linear feet of 6" PVC force main including 16", 20" and 24" steel encasement by open cut, jack and bore and HDD method(s). Plans and specifications may be viewed at the office of Gulf Shores Utilities and at Volkert, Inc., 1110 Montlimar Blvd., Suite 1050, Mobile, AL 36609. Also, electronic specifications may be obtained by email for review only from Volkert, Inc. (contact: keturah.doherty@volkert.com). All bids must be submitted on a hard copy numbered set of plans and specifications obtained from Volkert, Inc. as described in the Instructions to Bidders. An envelope containing bids must be sealed, marked, addressed as follows, and delivered to the Utilities Board of the City of Gulf Shores (Gulf Shores Utilities), 1629 East 1st Street, Gulf Shores, AL 36547, "Bid for SR59 Water Main & Sewer Main Relocation (Volkert Proj. No. 1177300A)," to be opened at 2:00 p.m., Local Time, March 26, 2024. The Bidder's Alabama State Contractor's License Number shall be included on the envelope containing the submitted proposal.
