Stillwater County is seeking qualified General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) services to provide a cost-efficient process to construct and oversee the construction of the Valley Creek Bridge as proposed in the 2022 Preliminary Engineering Report (available from owner). The project is currently anticipated to include an existing steel girder bridge structure including concrete cap abutments with retaining walls. The new construction is currently anticipated to consist of completion of a single span concrete tri-deck beam bridge with a stub abutment. This project is funded by the Montana Coal Endowment Program (MCEP) and legislatively approved funds from SB536. Owner will receive three hard copies and one electronic copy of Statements of Qualifications demonstrating the Proposer's qualifications and ability to provide GC/CM services and construct the Project. All inquiries must be received no later than 5 business days prior to the date for submittal of SOQs. The GC/CM Contract will include the following services and Work: o Removal and replacement of the Valley Creek Bridge following scope of work from the 2022 MCEP Preliminary Engineering Report, May 2022. Summarized as follows: o Removal of existing bridge o Replace bridge considering the preferred alternate 2: a single span concrete tri-deck beam bridge with concrete cap and concrete retaining walls. Owner anticipates that the GC/CM's Contract Price will be approximately $510,400 Construction Cost with an additional 10% contingency budget. The GC/CM Contract has an expected start date April 2024 with duration for construction to be determined based on availability of materials. Obtaining the Proposal Documents Project Information and Proposal Documents for the GC/ CM Contract are available upon request from Stillwater County. Neither Owner, Owner's Advisor, nor Engineer will be responsible for Proposal Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the from Stillwater County directly. Selection of the Construction Manager will be made using a two-step process. Step One: Owner will receive Statements of Qualification and evaluate these, along with other information, to develop a list of the most highly qualified Proposers. Step Two: The most highly qualified Proposers will receive a Request for Proposals and will submit a detailed Proposal for the GC/ CM Contract for the Owner's consideration. Information that will be requested in the RFQ and subsequent RFP is in the Proposal Documents. The Proposal and the previously-submitted Statement of Qualifications will be used together to determine the final ranking of Proposers for award of the GC/CM Contract.
