JYL - Runway Pavement Rehabilitation Project (Rebid) The Sylvania-Screven County Airport Authority desires to rehabilitate Runway 5-23 at the Plantation Airpark. Based on the pavement evaluation report conducted in 2021 and the review GDOT Aviation Programs, it is recommended that the Runway 5-23 pavement undergo a major rehabilitation. This project shall address deteriorating pavement section for entire length of the runway including associated pavements within 250 of the runway centerline. An alternative bid will be included in the bid package to not only address the deteriorating pavement, but also bring the transverse grades up to minimum standards and to create a smoother transition in longitudinal grades at the intersection of Runway 5-23 and Runway 15-33 via methods of milling and leveling.
