Renovation of an educational facility in Warner, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Office of Central Procurement for the OSU and A&M Systems is soliciting bids for the Classroom Building Elevator Repair project on the campus of Connors State College as described in the Specifications, per the Terms and Conditions. In the Spring semester of 2023, the elevator servicing the Classroom Building on the Warner campus of Connors State College had a hydraulic failure in the jack system. A seal failed in the existing system and allowed the entire volume of oil to leak from the jack. The system services the basement and floors 1 and 2 in the building. The existing elevator is an original Dover unit, which was originally installed sometime during the 1960's with an update taking place sometime later in the 1980's. Dover was eventually acquired by TK Elevators after this unit's installation. It is a 4-stop, hydraulic piston driven unit with a front and back loading cab. A rough description of the work requested below will detail the work required to remove, clean perimeter, and dispose of the damaged unit. In addition, any additional repairs to the elevator system to bring the elevator in its entirety up to code should be included. Description of Work: o Obtain permit for jack removal/installation from the Oklahoma Dept. of Labor, Elevator Division o Remove oil, existing cylinder and piston from the ground to be disposed of properly o Remove the existing controller and pump unit and replace with new equipment o Remove and replace existing landing system with a new system o Install a new hydraulic cylinder sleave o Install a new replacement jack, seal and gaskets o Install a new replacement piston o Make required adjustment of the new hydraulic jack to the replacement pump unit valve o Restore the required volume of new oil needed to operate the completed replacement unit o Fill the new pump unit with fresh oil o Remove existing hall and car fixtures, to be replaced with new ADA approved fixtures to bring elevator up to code o Remove existing inspection station and replace with new station o Remove existing hoist-way wiring and replace with new wiring o Install new light detected safety door edge o Pipe in new pump unit from existing pipe o Install new door restrictor equipment o Remove existing door operator and replace with a new operator Question Deadline 03/28/2024 at 5:00 PM CT All questions related to the Specifications are to be submitted on the Online Q&A Board associated with the Online Solicitation All inquiries during the bid and evaluation process must be directed to the Buyer of Record, Don Watts, at the Office of Central Procurement for the OSU and A&M Systems, by phone at (405)744-5987, fax (405)744-5187, email don.watts@okstate.edu or if you are responding to an online solicitation please use the associated Question and Answer Board.
