Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Penngrove, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Project consists of: Construction consists of approximately 300 linear feet of concrete ADA ramp, paving approximately 5,600 SF of new AC, sealcoat approximately 14,000 SF of existing AC including game lines, replace 7,000 SF of turf with new turf and shade trees plus associated irrigation and controls. Construction work is expected to take 8 weeks to complete. Please note, this campus is a year round school with a 5 week break from June 10th to July 12th. Questions to Architect due March 20, 2024 3 pm Addendum March 25, 2024 1:00 pm All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to the District. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the District in response to such questions will be issued in writing by Addenda faxed, mailed, or delivered to all parties recorded by the District as having received the Contract Documents. Questions received less than SEVEN (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. As security for its Bid, each bidder shall provide with its Bid form o a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, o cash, or o a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Petaluma City Schools, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. This bid security shall be a guarantee that the Bidder shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. 7. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. 8. The District is expecting that playground paving and turf/ irrigation work will take place during that time period in order to eliminate disruption when school is back in session. Concrete ramp work will require coordination with the school so that normal traffic activities to the upper parking lot have minimal disruption. 4. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders. 5. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: A - General Engineering, or B - General Contractor The Bidder's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. 9. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay all workers on the Project not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. *ADDENDUM 1 and 2 have been released.
