The Town of Acworth, NH requests interested engineering firms to submit qualification statements for engineering field monitoring and "built as" plan creation, for the Bowers Brook Flood Restoration Project. The purpose of this project is to restore Bowers Brook in the Town of Acworth to its location prior to the July 2023 flood and to replace the banks with adequate construction material prior to June 2024. Timing is critical to prevent the loss of the South Acworth church, the community aid building, utility infrastructure, 123A state road and the South Acworth Store. Qualified engineering firms are invited to provide a qualification statement which includes the following information: Company overview Resumes of key staff or individual skill descriptions that apply to this effort. Consultants who may be used Experience with similar projects, including river restoration, bank restoration, geomorphic analysis, hydraulic and hydrology studies, and environmental policy act (NEPA) compliance. Experience with State and Federally funded projects. Availability to perform the work within the desired timeframe. References (for similar projects if possible) A technical proposal including project understanding and project approach is not required at this time and will not be reviewed if submitted. The Town of Acworth intends to proceed utilizing American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds approved and made available by NH Department of Environmental Services (NH DES) to the Town of Acworth.
