The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is seeking a Professional Services Consultant (PSC) team for the Harker Hall Interior Remodeling Project. This project will begin with the Conceptualization/Program Verification phase, a combined Schematic Design/Design Development and Construction Document phase to better define the scope, schedule, and cost. During the Construction Document phase, the project will seek approval and a possible funding increase from the University of Illinois Board Of Trustees. It is also the Universitys intent to utilize the same PSC for the remainder of the project for bid & award, construction administration, and warranty phases.Harker Hall will become the new offices for the Chancellor and associated departments/campus leadership. The building was last renovated 30 years ago and is in generally good condition and is prime for use as a new office function. Upgrades will include, but not necessarily limited to, renovation of existing interior building systems & materials, possibly roofing, possibly window replacement, possibly masonry tuck-pointing, and possibly elevator systems. Renovations will heavily focus on cosmetic and functional upgrades. Harker Hall is located at 1305 West Green Street, Urbana, Illinois. Harker Hall is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. A Feasibility Study (U22079 Harker Hall Feasibility Study) was completed in April 2023 by Johnson Lasky Kindelin Architects. This study provides a programmed conceptual scope and budget for the project. This project is intended to implement the Phase 3 design concept shown in the study.
