Demolition, site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in College Station, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 16,500-square-foot, two-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field.

Located within Central Park, 1000 Krenek Tap Road, stands the Central Park Maintenance Shop. In this project we are asking the contractor to demolish the existing metal building structure and rebuild two new buildings. The first building will be 11,500 square foot, 2 story building. Roughly half will be offices, the other half will be shop space consisting of four drive through bays and storage rooms. The second building is a 5,000 square foot building consisting of four more drive through bays and storage rooms. Both building will receive new power and water services. The City is seeking a construction company with quality experience in road, utility and signal construction. Statement of Work: o Removal of the existing building o Construction of two new buildings o Construction of new water and electrical services to the building o Contractor shall coordinate all work, inspections, and approvals with the City of College Station o Project shall comply with the United States Occupational Safety & Health Administration regulations. o Methods & Means of construction shall be compliant with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations. This includes obtaining all necessary permits and inspections. o Contractor to adhere to City of College Station construction administration procedures. o Maintain and submit all project records such as record drawings, project manuals, and warranties for approval by the City of College Station. The above list is intended to enhance the statement of work and is not intended to limit the respondent's description of the project's process or services provided. This project shall require expertise in the following construction areas: o Various building trades o Placement of Concrete o Utility Construction The City has established $$6,200,000.00 as the estimated construction budget for all the Work including alternates as described in the Drawings, Technical Specifications, and other Contract Documents prepared by the A/E. Offerors must submit with their Proposal, a Cashier's Check or a Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the maximum amount of Proposal Price payable without recourse to the City of College Station, Texas, or a bidder's surety bond in the same amount from a surety company holding permit from the State of Texas to act as a surety, as a guarantee that Offeror will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of contract. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, of the General Conditions To The Construction Agreement Between The City Of College Station And Contractor set forth Owner's requirements as to Performance and Payment Bonds. Question Deadline 08/13/2024 at 2:00 PM CT Questions and inquiries about this RFP should be submitted in writing via the Q&A feature available through Electronically. The Work will be substantially completed within 335 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Section 18.04 of the Construction Agreement within 30 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. The substantial completion schedule will be further defined with the final contract.
