The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Docum ents and consists of the following Work includes renovating the second floor as office space, converting existing bedrooms to offices. Remove three existing bathrooms. Renovate o ne bathroom as a new rest room. Reopen wall at closed interior rear stairway to provide sec ond means of egress from the second floor. Repair and refurbish the historic interior plaster and wood finish materials. Install new carpet floor finishes. Provide new mechanical, electrical and lighting systems to serve the second floor. Refurbish and paint existing second-floor woo d windows. Remove one modern second floor bathroom window, infill the opening, and repai r wall with exterior vinyl siding. On the first floor, renovations include the removal of an existing Break Room casework and conversion of an existing office into a new Break Room with casework, including sink and electrical support systems. Two new paved parking sp aces will be added at the existing parking lot. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime cont ract Project involves architectural renovation of the second floor as office space with rest room; installation of new second floor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; construct two new parking spaces at the existing parking lot: and associated work at the Darley House, located 3701 Philadelphia Pike, in Claymont, Deleware, 19703. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
