Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Kansas City, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Jackson County, Missouri is seeking bids for Re-Roofing of various Park Structures in Parks System for use by the Parks + Recreation Department. This bid consists of three (3) types of re-roofing projects: metal, wood shake and TPO - Metal Roofing: Park Shelters and the Longview Office Building are all tear off of existing asphalt shingles and replacement with metal roofing . Wood Shake Roofing: The Missouri Town and Fort Osage historic buildings are tear off of existing wood shingles and replacement using hand split shakes. *Note: Jackson County has the materials on-hand for the Missouri Town Settler's Barn. As such, for this roof only, bids shall be for labor and other associated costs, minus roofing materials. All other roofs shall be bid for both labor and materials. TPO Roofing: The Ranger/Rec Garage Building has an existing EPDM room system and shall be replaced with a TPO type roofing material. Missouri Town roofs are historical structures dating back to the 1800's period. The intent is to recreate a look of materials available at that time. Fort Osage structures are also intended to maintain a historic appearance. Hand split cedar shakes must be used. Jackson County reserves the right to split the contract award. Jackson County reserves the right to request clarifications on any bid. Jackson County reserves the right to add and/or delete locations as necessary. All questions must be received via the Bonfire Portal by 5:00 p.m. CDT on April 2, 2024. All work performed under this Contract shall be performed in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area. If the Respondent is not located in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area, documentation MUST BE submitted with your bid response detailing how your company would perform the work detailed herein. 3.2 Listing Jackson County, MO as a Reference is prohibited. 3.3 Bid Document Submittal: 3.2.1 All documents listed as a required submittal shall be submitted individually per the required document. Please do not submit a bulk PDF of all required documents for each single required item. Certificate of Insurance: The Successful Contractor will be required to submit to the Purchasing Department a Certificate of Insurance meeting or exceeding the positions of Item 15 "General Conditions" and Exhibit A included herein within ten (10) business days after receiving Notification of Award. The Certificate of Insurance must be received by the County prior to the commencement of any work on this contract. Exempt Entity: Jackson County, Missouri is an exempt entity under Section 144.062 Revised Statutes of Missouri. Upon the request of the Successful Respondent, Jackson County will issue a project specific Missouri State Sales Tax Exemption Certificate to the Successful Respondent and their named subcontractors to be utilized during the performance of this Contract. The certificate must be requested prior to the purchase of any goods, supplies, materials and/or equipment. Under no circumstances will this certificate be backdated to cover goods, supplies, materials, or equipment already purchased. 4.3 W-9 Form: The Successful Contractor must provide a complete IRS W-9 Form for this Contract. 4.4 Other Licenses: The Successful Respondent must provide, upon written request, evidence of current required Federal, State, and Local Occupational Licenses. 4.5 Dedicated email addresses: All Purchase Orders, Award Letters and other information will be issued to awarded Bidders via email. It is the Bidders responsibility to provide two (2) updated email addresses for their company with their bid. It shall also be the responsibility of the awarded Respondents to keep the County updated on any changes to their email addresses during the term of any resulting contract. The Successful Contractor must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the work described in the specifications and list references showing contracts held by your company. NOTE: Do not list Jackson County, Missouri as a reference here. There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting for those wishing to submit Bids. At this time, a presentation of the work and worksites will be discussed, and questions will be addressed. Installation- Remove existing layers of composition shingles down to the sheathing and properly dispose of these materials. o Repair roof sheathing and fascia as needed, and call county representatives for inspection. o Install new classic ribbed panels with fasteners of sufficient length to penetrate roof sheathing, along with corrugated foam closures on all edges. o Install standard metal ridge cap, and corrugated foam closures, per manufacturer's instructions. o Remove existing roof edging and replace with new metal wrapping as outlined. o Remove all roof vents or HVAC flashing and replace with new, (where applicable). o Remove plumbing flashing and replace with new (where applicable). o Install new classic ribbed panels with fasteners of sufficient length to penetrate roof sheathing. o Install standard metal ridge cap per manufacturer's instructions. 9.5 %MBE 0 %WBE 0%VBE
