The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to prepare subgrade using soil stabilization on route 783 in Pittsylvania County. Halifax Residency is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide all equipment, labor, supervision, material and any other incidentals necessary to prepare subgrade using soil stabilization on one (1) route in Pittsylvania County. All work shall be in accordance with Section 307 in the 2020 Road and Bridge Specifications. The scope of work includes a 12" manipulation of the subgrade with mixed in place being the preferred method of applying the hydraulic cement at 60lbs per SYD. Contractor shall perform a minimum of two (2) depth test sections. From date of award through September 1, 2024. (nonrenewable) Question Deadline 03/15/2024 at 5:00 PM ET. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Robert Dowdle at Robert.Dowdle@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM five days prior to the bid close.
