The Engineer's Estimate for the Base Bid is $724,000.00, and this work consists of asphalt paving of multiple city streets, including a chip seal interlayer on selected streets. Bidders shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary in the cost of their bid to complete the project. Bids shall be submitted electronically with either a Bid Guaranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount or by a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid amount, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. The project's start date shall be no sooner than Monday, July 15, 2024 unless otherwise authorized by the City Engineer. The project's completion date shall be Friday, October 11, 2024. The contractor and all subcontractors shall pay employees on the project the prevailing wages established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Labor and Worker Safety, including all updates, and shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code.
