No definite date for the rebid.** G Street Railing Repair (Re-Bid) DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the reconstruction of approximately 30 lineal feet of metal bridge railing and electrical conduit along the north side of Bear Creek Bridge crossing over Bear Creek. Such other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the Drawings and Technical Specifications Plans, City of Merced Standard Specifications and Typical Details, and the Special Conditions shall be performed, placed, constructed, or installed. The project is located at the Bear Creek Bridge crossing over Bear Creek in the City of Merced. Bear Creek bridge carries G street. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. AWARD OF CONTRACT: The City reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder (as determined per the Instructions to Bidders) and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interest of the City. As a condition of award, the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond on the City's forms each in the full amount of the contract price. The successful bidder will also be required to submit proof of insurance for work involved. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, payable to the City of Merced.
