Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This contract shall consist of the salvage of any valuable property; asbestos abatement; disconnection of water and sewer; the demolition, removal, and disposal of the structure, subsurface structures, and contents; concrete flatwork; the backfilling to adjacent grade; and the restoration of topsoil and grass. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining and paying for the demolition permit, prior to any demolition activity. As part of obtaining said demolition permit, the Contractor is also responsible for cutting and capping water and sewer services to the building, including obtaining and paying for a plumbing permit. See Section 17, part A for additional information. 326 4th Street S: The demolition site is occupied by a 1-story Commercial building. The brick building footprint is approximately 1950 square feet with a possible crawl space beneath the building. The building was originally constructed in 1933. The structure is in a state of disarray due to an adjacent fire which caused fire, smoke, and water damage. All asphalt pavement and concrete, such as foundation, driveways, walks, etc. must be removed during this demolition. The contractor may need to remove and replace city sidewalk sections to remove foundation for this building. All sidewalk that is replaced must follow the City's standard specifications as well as ADA requirements. Project has been cancelled. Pre-Bid Walkthrough There will not be any pre-bid walkthroughs for this property. However, potential bidders may walk around the exterior of this property when preparing bids.
