Renovation of a municipal facility in Winchester, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The County of Frederick, Virginia is soliciting sealed bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work to complete minor interior office renovation to the Frederick County Administration Building. All work shall be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications as prepared The project scope includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work to demolish and renovate offices spaces, as indicated on the drawings. Patch all holes in existing wall from demolished area to match existing finishes. The County of Frederick also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the Owner to be in its best interest. The contractor shall be licensed in Virginia as a Class A Contractor and shall hold and provide a valid Business License. Note that a valid Business License is not required for bidding, however, the successful bidder will be required to obtain and provide a copy of the license with the executed contract documents. For each day after the Contract date of Substantial Completion that the work is not substantially complete, the Contractor shall pay to the Owner as liquidated damages the amount of $100.00 per day for the Owner's added administrative expense to the Owner to administer the Project during the period of delay. In addition, the Contractor shall reimburse the Owner for all additional Architect's fees and legal fees incurred by the Owner as a result of the delay. The Owner may deduct any liquidated damages or reimbursable expenses from the money due or to become due to the Contractor. If the amount of liquidated damages and reimbursable expenses exceeds any amounts due to the Contractor, the Contractor shall pay the difference to the Owner within ten (10) days after receipt of a written request from the Owner for payment. Bid Bonds: All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a surety company selected by the Bidder, which is legally authorized to do business in Virginia in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid for all bids where the bid price is in an amount of or exceeding $250,000. All questions shall be submitted in writing (email is preferred). Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
