Reference Number 0000346016 Delivery Point: Glenwood Springs The City of Glenwood Springs, Colorado has completed a project to analyze accident frequency and location data acquired and collated by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in a Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP). FHWA and the City have also reviewed individual pedestrian accident reports within the city to identify any correlation in cause. The City, in conjunction with its partners in the project, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA), and the Roaring Fork School District (RFSD), would like to review additional individual accident reports and data in the city related to transit, bicycles, and pedestrians. With this data, our team would like to analyze and develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP) that provides recommendations and prioritizes a suite of projects, operational changes, and public information campaigns that would target and address our higher than average incident rates verses the peer cities reviewed in the LRSP in statewide data comparisons.
