McMaster University is seeking to retain the services of a contractor to perform emergency underground repairs on the McMaster University campus.The McMaster University main campus has 61 buildings and requires various Emergency Underground Repairs performed throughout the term of this contract which will consist of both routine and emergency repairs/services on an as-needed and by-request basis. Emergency Underground Repairs/Services for new construction or renovation projects will not be required for the term of the contract. The term of this agreement is for three (3) years with the option to be extended for two (2) additional one (1) year terms, at the sole discretion of McMaster University. o To provide complete repair service of all University Underground Mechanical Piping utility services. o To provide high-quality service, high-quality end product, and a high level of customer service performance in all work efforts. o Available 24/7/365 days and 24-hour phone support line (Answering machines not acceptable). o To appear on the site within a 2-hour period of being notified and capable of excavating within 2 hours of verbal/written notification. o To supply sufficient manpower and equipment to provide services in a timely and professional manner. o To have an ample supply of watermain pipe, sleeves, repair clamps etc. in size 100 mm through 300 mm to complete necessary repairs in off hours and on weekends, when suppliers may have been closed. o To have offsite storage for excavated material 24/7. o To have a supply of crushed stone 24/7. o All costs associated with the services and or repair must be included in the hourly rate, except for repair parts and materials supplied by the successful proponent which will be billed separately from the labour. The McMaster University main campus has 61 buildings and requires various Emergency Underground Repairs performed throughout the term of this contract which will consist of both routine and emergency repairs/services on an as needed and by-request basis. The selective repairs/services and/or maintenance approach should be performed using a "find it / fix it" approach. Emergency Underground Repairs/Services for new construction or renovation projects will not be required for the term of the contract. The proponent must comply with all safety guidelines while working on the University Campus. The University may reject any Proposal submitted, or cancel any contract awarded, in contravention of the requirements of this provision.
