Renovation of a residential development in Village of Wellington, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Ship Emergency Repair Project. Liquidated Damages: Contractor shall complete the work within 120 working days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed unless a time extension has been requested by the Contractor and agreed to in writing by the Village of Wellington. Contractor and Wellington agree that, because of the nature of the work, the inability of the parties to precisely calculate actual damages for delay, and the difficulty of determining these damages, the Contractor shall pay Wellington the sum of $50.00 per working day of delay. The parties further agree that such sum is not a penalty and not excessive in light of the circumstances known to the parties at the time of award. State Requirements: Included in the Request for Quotes are SHIP requirements for State Funded Projects. As part of this Request for Quotes, submitters are required to submit the following executed forms with their submittal in addition to all other required documentation and requested information. The proposed work shall be completed within 120 working days. Please email gkelly@wellingtonfl.gov if you have any questions . It shall fully disclose the scope of work to be performed, permitted and inspected. The quote must be sealed in an envelope (do not include more than one quote). The face of the envelope shall contain the Village of Wellington Address and the address of the project. Those that do not comply with these conditions are subject to rejection. The Village of Wellington, A Florida Municipal Corporation, hereinafter referred to as Wellington, is an entitlement recipient of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funds established under the 1992 William E. Sadowski Affordable Housing Act. The Village of Wellington has allocated a portion of its SHIP entitlement grant to an "Emergency Repair Program," which provides funds for income-qualified homeowners to make necessary repairs to their primary residence. On behalf of the homeowner, The Village of Wellington is requesting quotes from licensed general contractors for the rehabilitation of 14522 Autumn Avenue, Wellington, FL 33414. Wellington reserves the right to amend this request for quotes prior to the opening date indicated.
