Renovation of a mixed-use development in New Port Richey, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; and municipal facility.

The project contemplated involves construction of improvements consisting of the following major components: Pressure wash breezeway walls/pillars. Re-sealing walls/pillars & breezeway. Minimal repointing of brick (bricks supplied by city). No work will be performed during the hours of Tasty Tuesdays. A pre-bid conference will NOT be held. The City of New Port Richey reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses, to waive irregularities, and to re-advertise as may be determined to be in the best interest of the City. The City accepts no responsibility for any response not reaching the prescribed delivery point within the time period stipulated. Any questions regarding this Invitation to Bid must be e-mailed and received by 2:00 p.m. on March 22, 2024. Responses will be issued via e-mail no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 28, 2024. All e-mail correspondence shall be sent to Mike Macaluso at macalusom@cityofnewportrichey.org Each bid must be submitted, with three (3) complete copies of each on the prescribed Proposal forms and accompanied by Bid security on the prescribed form, payable to the City of New Port Richey, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the base bid amount. The outside of the envelope must be clearly marked with the bidder's name and full address along with "ITB24-017 NPR CITY HALL & LIBRARY PROJECT." The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents. All Bid Bonds, Contract Bonds, Insurance Contracts and Certificates of Insurance shall be either executed by or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company having his/her place of business in the State of Florida. Further, the said surety or insurance company shall be duly licensed and qualified to do business in the State of Florida. Insurance coverage is required for this project. Prior to contract signing, the contractor must furnish Certificates of General Liability, Vehicle Liability, and Workman's Compensation insurance in amounts not less than $1,000,000 to the City. All insurance coverage shall be written by companies licensed to do business in Florida and shall be administered by a Florida registered agent. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors' and Business Licenses as required by state statues. The right is reserved to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time, which, however, shall not extend beyond 120 days from the Proposal opening date. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors' and Business Licenses as required by Florida state statues and City requirements. Before a Contract will be awarded for the work contemplated herein, the Owner will conduct such investigations as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low Bidder to perform the size and type of work specified under the Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the Owner to evaluate the Bidder's qualifications.
