Renovation of a military facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Working plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Drill and install 1/2 " galvanized all-thread through 2x4 ledger to existing blocking inside ceiling of building between each joist in the downstairs ceiling. Galvanized nuts and washers are to be used on both ends of the all-thread. o Jack eyebrow roof to tighten the relationship between the top of the rafter and the wall. Install a GRK 3/8-in Double-barrier Lag Screw (8" or 10") in EACH and EVERY rafter. Fastener is to be run through the top of the rafter at an angle through the wood siding and into the wall stud to secure rafters to the wall. o Install new 2x4 sub fascia on the rafters in all affected areas. o Plumb eyebrow roof (using mechanical means) to being within a 1/4 " level on each span. Once level, cut the joist hardware and re-nail in the corrected position. This is done to aid in the leveling of the eyebrow roof. Then install a new sister joist next to EVERY joist for added support. o Install new 2x4 blocking under joists that spans the entire length of the eyebrow roof as a nailer for vinyl soffit. o Remove all roofing from eyebrow roof, repair any deficient 1x6 sheathing found, install new apron flashing going at least 6" up the wall, install new 6" drip cap, 15 LB felt, and new three-tab shingles. Shingles to be installed are to match existing which are Tamco Empire Green or Owens Corning Chateau Green. o Install new J-Channel and repair existing siding in affected areas. o Install new soffit in the entire affected area. o Replace all trim coil on facia in the affected area. Color to be Savannah Blue. o Contractor is responsible for any and all repairs necessary that are caused by this scope of work Please direct all questions to Contracting Officer Jason Bragg @ jason.w.bragg.nfg@army.mil. Building 326 & building 333 will each require a respective line item bid submission in online. DMA reserves the right to award only one building repairs at its discretion. If only one building will be entertained for award, only that specific building's bids will be evaluated, all additional building bids will not be factored. If both building repairs will be awarded, the Grand Total will dictate the lowest bid. The project will be required to start within 5 business days after award. Project Must be completed and fully invoiced No Later Than June 5th , 2024. This Statement of Work outlines the scope of the eyebrow roof repair project on the east side of Building 326 and the entire roof of Building 333 of Commonwealth Challenge Youth Academy. This contract will be awarded on a Grand Total basis and is a Small vendor set-aside. This does not guarantee small vendor's any additional consideration beyond what is required per APSPM Chapter 3.11.g.1. **Please direct all questions to Contracting Officer Jason Bragg @ jason.w.bragg.nfg@army.mil. The purpose of this conference is to allow potential bidders an opportunity to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation. Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the specifications/scope of work and requirements of this solicitation, attendance at this conference will be a prerequisite for submitting a bid. Bids will only be accepted from those bidders who are represented at this Prebid conference. The solicitation/contract will result in One purchase order with the applicable eVA transaction fee assessed for each order. Any bid in response to this solicitation shall be valid for 90 days.
