Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Crosby, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

**As of May 2,2024 this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on May 6, 2024.** The work generally consists of: 1. Schedule 1: a. Sewer: Open-cut replacement of approximately 2,934 LF of 8-inch PVC sewer main. Improvements will include removal and replacement of existing manholes, open-cut replacement of existing sanitary sewer service laterals, coring into an existing lift station, and other associated improvements. b. Water: Open-cut replacement of approximately 3,519 LF of 6-inch PVC water main and 759 LF of 8-inch PVC water main. Improvements will include removal of asbestos cement pipe, installation of gate valves, fire hydrants, open-cut replacement of water services, lead service line replacement where encountered including private property, and other associated improvements. c. Streets: Reclamation of existing asphalt, gravel, and removal of valley gutter, sidewalk, and curb and gutter. Installation of salvaged asphalt/gravel base course, approximately 7,520 SY 4" FAA 43 bituminous pavement, 3,487 SY 6" FAA 43 bituminous pavement, 844 SY 9" NDDOT CL 13 surface course, 2,355 LF curb and gutter, 1,401 SF valley gutter, 823 SF sidewalk, 2,568 SF driveway, landscape restoration, RCP and CMP culvert installation, minor grading for stormwater drainage, and other associated improvements. 2. Schedule 2: a. Sewer: Open-cut replacement of approximately 3,627 LF of 8-inch PVC sewer main. Improvements will include removal and replacement of existing manholes, open-cut replacement of existing sanitary sewer service laterals, and other associated improvements. b. Water: Open-cut replacement of approximately 4,516 LF of 6-inch PVC water main. Improvements will include removal of asbestos cement pipe, installation of gate valves, fire hydrants, open-cut replacement of water services, lead service line replacement where encountered including private property, and other associated improvements. c. Streets: Reclamation of existing asphalt, gravel, and removal of valley gutter, sidewalk, curb and gutter. Installation of salvaged asphalt/gravel base course, approximately 14,635 SY 4" FAA 43 bituminous pavement, 5,693 LF curb and gutter, 1,044 SF valley gutter, 2,162 SF sidewalk, 12,210 SF driveway, landscape restoration, minor grading for stormwater drainage, and other associated improvements. 3. Alternate 1 Expedited Schedule 1: a. Contract price adjustment if Schedule 1 Water and Sewer and temporary surface is completed by November 22, 2024. 4. Alternate 2 Extended Warranty: a. Contract price adjustment to provide an extended warranty of an additional year for Schedule 1 Water and Sewer which results in a total of 2 years. Street and surface restoration portion remains at 1 year warranty. 5. Alternate 3 Schedule 1 Only: a. Contract price adjustment to Schedule 1 if only Schedule 1 is awarded. Contract Time: 1. Schedule 1 Water and Sewer: a. Construction Schedule 1 Water and Sewer and temporary surface shall be substantially complete and ready for Owner's use and pre-final inspection within 180 calendar days of the date issued in the Notice to Proceed. Notice to Proceed to be issued no later than 30 days of the fully executed Construction Agreement. Construction Schedule 1 Water and Sewer and temporary surface shall be completed before Schedule 2 Water and Sewer begins. A winter shutdown is anticipated such that Substantial Completion would be issued in 2025. 2. Schedule 2 Water and Sewer: a. Construction Schedule 2 Water and Sewer and temporary surface shall be substantially complete and ready for Owner's use and pre-final inspection within 180 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed of Schedule 2 Water and Sewer which shall equal the Substantial Completion date of Schedule 1 Water and Sewer or by November 21, 2025, whichever is earlier. Reclaiming the streets in Schedule 2 Water and Sewer pursuant to the General Notes on Sheet G1.2 of the Plans, will not trigger the counting of days to allow for mobilization for all streets to be reclaimed at one time. 3. Schedule 1 and 2 Streets: a. Construction Schedule 1 and 2 Streets shall be substantially complete and ready for Owner's use and pre-final inspection within 90 calendar days of May 25, 2026 or within 90 calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed, whichever is earlier. Notice to Proceed shall be issued on the same date as the Resume Work Order in 2026. 4. Alternate 1 Expedited Schedule 1: a. If awarded, Schedule 1 Water and Sewer and temporary surface shall be substantially complete and ready for Owner's use and pre-final inspection by November 22, 2024. 5. Alternate 2 Extended Warranty: a. There will be no adjustment in Contract time. 6. Alternate 3 Schedule 1 Only: a. If awarded, Construction Schedule 1 Water and Sewer and temporary surface will have no adjustment in Contract Time. One winter season will be required between Schedule 1 Water and Sewer and Schedule 1 Streets. Schedule 1 Streets shall be substantially complete and ready for Owner's use and pre-final inspection within 60 calendar days of May 25, 2026 or within 60 calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed, whichever is earlier.
