Project Number - BIL-AIG 3-19-0063-027-2024 Installation of edge lighting for Runway 12/30 and associated parallel taxiway and includes the installation of PAPIs and REILS on Runway 12/30 Work on the improvement shall commence upon approval of the contract by the City Council and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work under the Contract must be substantially complete within fifty (50) Working Days for all phases. Work on Phase 2, shall be done concurrently with Phase 1. Once work begins on phase 2 it shall be actively worked on until completed. Work on Phase 2 shall be completed in 12 calendar days. During Phase 2, Runway 06/24 shall be re-opened at 5:00 PM each Friday and shall remain open there afterwards and shall remain open until 8:00 AM the following Monday morning and shall not be limited in operations over weekends. Liquidated damages as set forth in Section 00500 - Contract. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equal to 5% percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. If the bidder fails to execute the contract and to furnish an acceptable performance and payment bond or provide a Certificate of Insurance within ten (10) days after acceptance of the bid by the City of Muscatine, the bid security may be forfeited or cashed by the City of Muscatine as liquidated damages.
