Site work and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Muscatine, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.

Project Number - BIL-AIG 3-19-0063-027-2024 Installation of edge lighting for Runway 12/30 and associated parallel taxiway and includes the installation of PAPIs and REILS on Runway 12/30 Work on the improvement shall commence upon approval of the contract by the City Council and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work under the Contract must be substantially complete within fifty (50) Working Days for all phases. Work on Phase 2, shall be done concurrently with Phase 1. Once work begins on phase 2 it shall be actively worked on until completed. Work on Phase 2 shall be completed in 12 calendar days. During Phase 2, Runway 06/24 shall be re-opened at 5:00 PM each Friday and shall remain open there afterwards and shall remain open until 8:00 AM the following Monday morning and shall not be limited in operations over weekends. Liquidated damages as set forth in Section 00500 - Contract. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equal to 5% percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. If the bidder fails to execute the contract and to furnish an acceptable performance and payment bond or provide a Certificate of Insurance within ten (10) days after acceptance of the bid by the City of Muscatine, the bid security may be forfeited or cashed by the City of Muscatine as liquidated damages. Goals for minority participation for each trade: 3.4% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9 % Pre-Qualification: Yes These goals are applicable to all of the contractor's construction work (whether or not it is Federal or federally assisted) performed in the covered area. If the contractor performs construction work in a geographical area located outside of the geographical area where the work is actually performed. With regard to this second area, the contractor also is subject to the goals for both its Federally involved and non-federally involved construction. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the current schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor. The City of Muscatine reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or technicalities in any bid, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be to the best interest of the City of Muscatine.
