Deadline for Written Questions 3/29/2024 City Response to Questions anticipated) 4/2/2024 The City of Wilson invites architectural and engineering firms to submit their statement of qualifications to provide professional design and construction administration/management services for the Lake Wilson Park Improvements and Reid Street Community Center Improvements. The City of Wilson has been awarded funding from the Office of State Budget and Management 2023 Appropriations. The funding for this project will be for the design, engineering, and construction management of Lake Wilson Park Improvements and Reid Street Community Center Improvements. This RFQ is for the Design, Engineering, and Management of these services. The park improvements will showcase a well-used center located in East Wilson and a popular walking trail at Lake Wilson that showcases one of the area's natural resources. The improvements will expand recreational opportunities that are available now and improve ADA access to participants. The two locations will be 901 Reid Street and 4621 Lake Wilson Road. The Reid Street Center improvements will consist of upgrades to the Fitness Room and Kitchen Area. The Lake Wilson improvements will consist of a paved walking path on the north side (undeveloped side) with lights for year-round use and a kayak rental station The Lake Wilson Park improvements will replace the existing compacted granite fines path with a lighted paved path and the installation of a kayak rental station located near the existing ADAaccessible kayak launch. Reid Street Community Center Upgrades will replace the existing fitness equipment, paint the room, technology upgrades along with HVAC, and paint the room in he kitchen area. The project will focus on adding additional recreational opportunities to both locations. These improvements will be used by all city residents.
