The Project consists of the following scope items: Complete upgrade to fire alarm system. Estimate: $450,000 Work Commencement: June 14, 2024 Substantial Completion: August 4, 2024 Bidders must submit one Bid Bond in an amount equal to 10% of the proposed Contract Price for the work to be performed at 43 Alexander Street, but not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per N.J.S.A 18A:18A-24. Bid proposals for the above work will be received from bidders registered with the Division of Revenue and Department of Labor, and classified by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC"): General Contractors with a DPMC Classification of C006, C008 or C009, or; Electrical Contractors with a DPMC Classification of C047 or; Fire Alarm/Signal Systems Contractors with a DPMC Classification of C049 and; Other Special Categories may be required and as set forth in the Request for Proposals. This process shall be conducted in accordance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-1 et. seq. The project will be bid and constructed as a Single Prime Lump Sum Contract with Add Alternate options to be added at Owner's discretion. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 (P.L. 1975, c. 127) and N.J.A.C. :27-1 et seq., pertaining to affirmative action and equal employment opportunity.
