The Project consists of constructing approximately 8.5 miles of 12" and 14" diameter sewer force main and two (2) lift stations along Mainline and Texas Flat Road in Hancock County, MS. Bids will be received from a single prime Contractor. When bids are submitted electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or a statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), on the AFB - 2 23-3846A exterior of the bid envelope shall be deemed in compliance by including the same information as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal. For bids exceeding $50,000.00, Bidder must indicate his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of sealed proposal as required by Mississippi Law. Effective July 1, 2010; Per MS Code 31-3-21(3); any bid submitted by a nonresident contractor which does not include the nonresident contractor's current state law pertaining to such state's treatment of nonresident contractors, shall be rejected, and not considered for award. If no such law exists in the non- resident contractor's state, then the non-resident contractor may provide a statement to that effect. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
