Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cortez, Colorado. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of May 17, 2024, this project was awarded to WCA Construction, LLC, awarded amount is $895,988.80. This project consists of drainage and hardscape new construction: Work at Mesa Elementary will replace an existing culvert; build an 8 concrete multiuse pathway; replace curb/gutter; and remove/replace signage. Work at Kemper Elementary will install new storm drain drop inlets on Adams St. and Montezuma Ave. that tie into an existing storm drain; remove/raise/replace curb and gutter; and HMA patching. Work at 6th St. between Beech and Ash will re-grade dirt roads with reverse crown profiles to contain storm water runoff and reduce flooding of adjacent residences. All locations will include traffic control, SWPP/erosion control, and utility locates. The City reserves the right to waive any formality or any informality in the process of awarding a bid. The City reserves the right to accept any bid, in whole or in part, and to reject any or all bids if it be deemed in the best interest of the City.
