Owner and Work: The City of Sheboygan hereby gives notice that sealed public bids will be received for the 2024 Sidewalk Program. The majority work of this contract is generally described as follows:
15,000 SF remove concrete sidewalk and approaches; 100 SF concrete apron removal; 50 LF remove curb and gutter; 100 SF remove integral sidewalk/curb; 50 CY excessive cut; 50 CY excessive fill, gravel; 15,500 SF, 4-inch concrete sidewalk; 250 SF, 6-inch concrete sidewalk; 50 LF, 30-inch curb and gutter; 100 SF, 7-inch concrete aprons; 50 LF, 6-inch concrete curb; 200 SF, integral sidewalk and curb; 100 LF concrete sawing; 500 SF grading for new sidewalk; 60 SY 4-inch topsoil, seed, fertilizer, 100 SF, 6-inch concrete sidewalk with panel finish; 10 EA, curb ramp detectable warning fields. Root grinding and removal shall be incidental to the contract. Question Deadline 03/25/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Pre-Bid Qualification: All bidders shall be required to file or have on file a valid Bidder's Proof of Responsibility form with the Engineering Division, City of Sheboygan, not less than five (5) days prior to the time of opening of these bids. Only bidders who have demonstrated their qualifications to perform the work will be permitted to bid. Forms are included in the proposed contract documents. Subcontractors: The apparent Successful Bidder, and any other Bidder so requested, shall within ten (10) days after Bid opening, submit to the City a Bidder's Proof of Responsibility Affidavit and Non-Collusion Affidavit from each Subcontractor. Bid Security: A satisfactory Bid Bond, payable to the City of Sheboygan, WI, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid. Pre-Qualification:
