Renovation of a mixed-use development in Birmingham, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and laboratory facility.

Proposer may not withdraw the proposal after the time set for the opening thereof, unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) calendar days. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive all formalities in proposing and to award the contract to the lowest responsible Proposer in accordance with applicable law. It is not the policy of the Board to award contracts on the basis of price alone, quality and suitability to purpose and the needs of the Board being controlling factors. When applicable, a warranty and maintenance agreement will be considered in determining the lowest responsible Proposer. The Birmingham Board of Education (the "Board") is inviting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to design, develop, and implement a state-of-the-art STEM Innovation Lab. This lab will serve as a dynamic learning environment aimed at fostering creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation among students in grades K - 8. The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to seek proposals from established and respected organizations. These proposals should aim to create a flexible and adaptable space that promotes hands-on exploration and experimentation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines. o Provide access to cutting-edge technology, tools, and resources to support inquiry-based learning and problem-solving. o Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and project-based learning experiences. o Cultivate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
