Renovation of an educational facility in Wayne, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 29,800-square-foot educational facility.

Passaic County Technical Vocational Schools located in Wayne NJ will be replacing the E-Wing Roof which is an approximately 30,000 square foot of flat, concrete roof deck with low pitch tapered insulation and low pitched ballasted roof with a new PVC roofing system. Basis of design for the PVC roofing is the VersiFlex membrane system by Versico; or an approved equal roofing system. New tapered rigid insulation sloping to replaced internal roof drains. The condition of the conc. roof deck is not known at this time and will be exposed for evaluation and potential repair after the removal of the existing roofing system and related insulation. The work consists of, but is not limited to the following 1. Removal and disposal of existing roofing system including ballast, membrane, insulation, roof drains and obsolete mechanical equipment and utility lines as indicated on the drawings. 2. Relocation/protection and reinstallation of rooftop mechanical units and ductwork as required to install new roofing system. Existing condensers, exhaust fans, etc. are to be reinstalled on composite sleepers and reconnected, charged and operational at the conclusion of the roof replacement. 3. Install new roof drains and overflow drains. Roof drains and overflow drains are completely new and must be tied into the existing piping in the ceilings below. 4. Install new PVC roofing system that includes membrane, flashings, protection board, rigid insulation, and vapor barrier as indicated on the drawings and in the specifications. No police supervision or road closures are anticipated for this project. Any police supervision required for traffic control due to the contractor's means and methods are to be included in the bid price. All above listed work must be included in the bid price. E-Wing Auditorium and Gymnasium Roof Replacement Each bid, the total price of which exceeds $100,000.00 shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Back cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Passaic County Technical Vocational School for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, including alternates, not to exceed $20,000. Corporate bidders are required by law (Chapter 33, Laws of 1977) to submit a list of the names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of their stock. A Bidder on public works for a Board of Education where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000 shall be prequalified as required by The State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-27 through 33, et. Seq The Passaic County Technical Vocational School reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive any informalities, in accordance with applicable law, and to take such alternate(s) that the Board feels are in the best interest of the Board. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification also must be filed with the bid. Event Bid notes: If bids are mailed or delivered in person ahead of the time for receipt to the designated location, they are to be inserted in a smaller bid envelope, sealed, and the small envelope is to be inserted into a larger envelope for mailing or delivery clearly marked "Sealed Bid".
