Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, (bid bond amount not to exceed $20,000.00), and made payable to the order of the Town of Morristown, together with a "Consent of Surety" from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey stating that it will provide the contractor with a bond in such amount as requested in the advertisement or specifications. The guarantee of the successful bidder will be returned upon execution of the contract. All guarantees of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of contract to the successful bidder. Bidders (and Bidder's subcontractors, if any) should submit a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue, in accordance with the requirements of P.L. 2009, c. 315. The Town of Morristown reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract and file a bond within (10) ten days after award of the project and submit a Business Entity Disclosure Certification and any other necessary documentation required under Chapter 2, Section 2-87, Public Contracting Reform Ordinance (Town of Morristown's Local Pay to Play Ordinance).
