Phelps County is currently seeking bids for contract hauling of road materials for the maintenance or construction of county roads and bridges. The requested bid will be for an hourly rate for a driver, tandem axle dump truck or greater with a capacity of 15 tons or greater within the legal haul weight limit of the truck. The requested bid will be for an hourly rate only no materials. Materials will be hauled from vendors within a 50-mile radius of Phelps County. Dump trucks must be equipped with a chipper bar and asphalt lip. Material being hauled will be the responsibility of the trucking company until it is delivered to the desired location. The contract company will be responsible for any down time due to break downs, flats etc. and shall not bill Phelps County for time down. The contract will be for 1 year period from award date. Multiple contracts may be awarded to qualified bidders in order for the County to accomplish necessary work in a timely and efficient manner. Successful bidder(s) must provide adequate proof of insurance. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) are encouraged to participate. Phelps County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
