Youree Drive Restroom Renovation Location- 6008 Youree Dr. Shreveport, LA 71105 The Base Bid Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Demolish the interior of the existing Girls and Boys Restroom in Building #100 where located on Drawings, including doors and frames, epoxy flooring, ceilings, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, select CMU and brick walls, toilet partitions, and restroom hardware. 2. Construction of new walls, ceilings, and doors. 3. Provide and install new light fixtures. 4. Remove the existing windows and install metal stud and brick infill panels. 5. Provide and install new plumbing fixtures, toilet partitions, and urinal partitions. 6. Provide and install new resinous wall and floor coatings and finishes. 7. Provide and install new restroom hardware designated to be furnished by contractor and install owner furnished restroom hardware as noted in the Documents. 8. Provide and install new restroom exhaust fan through existing roof. 9. Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical items as noted on the Documents. 10. Other Work indicated in the Contract Documents not designated as an Alternate. 11. Work area shown generally on Drawing Sheet CSI and A1.1. BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashiers check as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218 must be attached to and made a part of the bid. If a bid bond is provided it shall be on the provided form and only on the provided form. Bid bonds must be written by a qualified company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. For this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) per day for each consecutive calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion date of 68 calendar days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders requiring clarifications or interpretation of the Bidding documents shall make a written request to the Architect, at least ten days prior to the date for receipt of bids. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Caddo Parish School Board desires that Bidders make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Perspective bidders must remain in attendance for the duration of the conference. Perspective bidders who fail to attend the conference or remain for the duration shall be prohibited from submitting a bid for the project. Budget: $230,000.00
