Renovation of a residential development in Madrid, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

CR Number: 2107809 This project is regarding the installation of a new Natural Gas Fired Boiler and 2 Indirect Hot Water Heaters. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner per scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid and Certified Payrolls must be submitted at time of completion. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of boiler replacement, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent or his/her representative. Scope- Replace existing natural gas boiler with new natural gas fired high efficiency unit. Replace old natural gas water heaters with 2 indirect high efficiencies. OPWDD is soliciting quotes from responsible and qualified MWBE, SDVOB or NYS small business contractors to provide Boiler and Water Heater Replacements to 9 Depot St. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Contract term: 1 year SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. The vendor will be responsible for all materials required for the satisfactory completion of the project. While on property the vendor and all subcontractors will follow the COVID plan provided with this scope of work. This project will follow all the current building and electrical codes. While the project is going on the residence must maintain heat and hot water. The new boiler shall be a Weil McLain Evergreen Pro 220 wall mounted, high efficiency, natural gas fired unit. 2. A condensate neutralizer shall be incorporated into the condensate drain line. 3. Boiler will be direct vented to the outside. 4. Boiler shall be equipped with an outdoor reset temperature sensor. 5. Vendor shall be responsible for running the gas piping to the boiler and water heaters and will follow the current NYS gas code requirements 6. The vendor is responsible for the removal of the current system and any waste that is created in the removal process. 7. All existing gauges are to be replaced. 8. Existing opening in front wall of mechanical room is to be sealed. Interior and exterior finishes are to match existing. 9. Existing water heaters (2 total) are to be removed and replaced with 2 tankless RHEEM RTG95DVLN on demand units. 10.The new water heaters shall be high efficiency natural gas fired units. 11. Water Heaters will be direct vented to the outside. 12.New tankless units shall be sized to accommodate the needs of the residence. One unit shall provide hot water for laundry and dishwashing purposes. The second shall provide for washing, bathing, and showering of individuals. 13.Vendor shall be responsible for ensuring that current water chemistry is suitable for the units being installed as well as providing recommended water treatment if necessary. 14.The vendor is responsible for the removal of the current system and any waste that is created in the removal process. 15.Vendor will install proper location of concentric vent/supply air piping for new tankless water heaters. Demolition 1. Remove old and all unnecessary piping. 2. All inline safety valves/controls must remain and operate properly or be replaced. 3. All debris must be removed at the end of each workday. 4. Old boiler must be removed from the basement and disposed of properly. Work must be completed within 30 days of receiving the purchase order.
