Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Project No - 2021110795, 2021110280, CASE NUMBER: SPR-0252-2022 This project involves the repair of an existing 36-inch RCP culvert which crosses 2810 and 2809 Newbold Street. Due to joint separation throughout the pipe, sinkholes have formed in both yards and poor outlet conditions cause street flooding during significant rainfall events. This project will provide inlet/outlet improvements and either in-situ repair or full replacement of the 36-inch RCP culvert depending on the condition of existing pipe at the beginning of construction. Beaver Dam Road - Stormwater runoff from Beaver Dam Road and Dogwood Lane currently drains to a 24-inch RCP located beneath the structure at 720 Beaver Dam Road. The pipe shows signs of potential failure and will therefore be filled with flowable fill and abandoned in place. Drainage will be re-routed under the driveway the NE of the house and tied in once again to the existing system in the backyard. Alamance Drive - Stormwater runoff drains from Alamance Drive to a 12-inch pipe that runs beneath the structure located at 3410 Alamance Drive. The residents at this property experience frequent and severe flooding due to insufficient capacity of the pipe. This project involves the installation of underground detention in the form of a 6-foot by 6-foot RCBC under Alamance Drive that will reduce peak flow to the property and thus mitigate flooding. Question Deadline: 03/29/2024 at 4:00 PM ET, Any follow-up questions regarding the project plans or Pre-Bid meeting need to be submitted to Gilles Bellot at Gilles.Bellot@raleighnc.gov for consideration. Answers to questions or a final addendum, if needed, will be issued by April 4, 2024 to all bidders email addresses. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instruction to Bidders Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders.
