Demolition and site work for a pre-engineered storage facility in Tenafly, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

The Project consists of the complete demolition of the existing salt shed superstructure, located at the Borough of Tenafly Department of Public Works, 107 Grove Street, Tenafly, NJ. Work shall include the removal and proper disposal of the existing superstructure including but not limited to all framing, roof material, hardware, and louvers on top of the concrete foundation walls. All work on this contract must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice to the above e-mail addresses. The bid proposal packages will not be available for pickup. In the e-mail message, the contractor shall indicate if they request an electronic copy (PDF format) or paper copy. Contract documents and drawings for the proposed work (the "Contract Documents", which have been prepared by James Giurintano, P.E., P.P., C.M.E., of the firm Colliers Engineering & Design Inc. (DBA Maser Consulting), are available electronically or via deliver by common carrier by making a request to kylee.arenas@collierseng.com and will be on file at the below date in the Borough of Tenafly, Council Chambers located in Borough Hall in the Municipal Center, 100 Riveredge Road, Tenafly, NJ 07670. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the Contract Documents in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the Borough of Tenafly, and must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Owner and either a bid bond or a certified check drawn to the order of Borough of Tenafly for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Owner in a lawful manner. Proposals for this contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner, except as to those items which are deemed mandatory and non-waivable set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2. Further, the Owner reserves the right to abandon the project and reject the bids entirely if any legal or state or federal administrative action is taken against the Owner which could delay or jeopardize the project from commencing. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Item Superstructure Demolition and Disposal shall include, but not be limited to, the following work: 1. Obtaining all applicable building permits and preparing all documents required to obtain those building permits. The Borough of Tenafly Building Department fees will be waived. 2. Demolition and disposal of the existing wood frame superstructure; 3. Demolition and disposal of all roofing materials; 4. Demolition and disposal of all windows and louvers; 5. Disconnection and/or capping of utility services per utility company requirements, any utility company fees for the utility shut-offs and coordination with utility companies to disconnect service; 6. Obtaining local building permits and inspections; 7. Disposal of the existing superstructure; 8. The removal of any debris within the existing building footprint. The Contract Documents will be available during business hours beginning on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
