The Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services for the Emergency Restoration, Preventive Maintenance, Non-Emergency Repair and Seismic Relocation Work as described below. The Work will be accomplished by task orders. Emergency Restoration: The work under this Contract includes the immediate mobilization of the Contractor, upon notification by BART, of interruption in service in any part of its commercial fiber optic or wireless system network due to an accident, derailment, or other unforeseen events in the BART right-of-way. The Contractor's designated representative is to be on site within two (2) hours of notification. The Contractor and BART representatives will determine and agree on the required effort for the emergency restoration work before the Contractor mobilizes manpower, materials and equipment to commence the work. The Contractor shall provide emergency restoration services on a stand-by basis for twenty-four (24) hours a day, 365 days of the year. Preventive Maintenance, Non-Emergency Repair Work and Seismic Relocation Work: Preventive maintenance consists of periodic inspections of the fiber and wireless infrastructures as described in the Summary of Work. Non-Emergency Repair Work will be performed on a non-emergency basis and is defined as work not addressed in the Emergency Restoration and Preventive Maintenance Work. The Seismic Relocation Work will require relocation of some egress facilities as required by BART's Earthquake Safety Program. The Work shall be authorized on a Task Order basis under a three (3) year Contract, subject to the termination provisions of the Contract. The District does not guarantee that any minimum amount of services will be authorized under this Contract.
