A.1 Scope of Work:
1. This contract calls for the supply, delivery and application of liquid
calcium chloride @ 35% strength PER OPSS 2501, liquid
magnesium chloride @ 30% strength PER OPSS 2503 or approved
alternate. The Director of Operations or their designate of the
Township of Georgian Bay or their designate shall approve
alternate materials.
2. The total estimated quantity for 2024 is approximately 50,000
litres for which the supplier must guarantee delivery. This amount
is an estimate only and is not binding on the Township to be
accepted.
3. All material supplied must conform with the current Ontario
Provincial Standard Specifications (OPSS) #506 or be an approved
alternate material.
4. All metering of materials will be in accordance with the current
Ontario Provincial Standard Specification.
5. Quoted prices are to be per litre of liquid concentrate at the
applicable concentration.
6. Dates, times, locations and application rates will be determined
by the Director of Operations or his designate.
7. Equipment supplied under this contract shall be capable of
applying a uniform spray at the rate specified by the Director of
Operations or their designate and be capable of varying the rate
when requested. (OPSS 506).
8. Locations scheduled for application may not necessarily involve
continuous application and may only require "spot" treatments. It will be the Proponent's responsibility to clarify any details in
question, not mentioned in this contract before submitting their
Proposal.
Questions relating to this Proposal must be received by March 25,
2024 before 2 p.m. and can be faxed to the attention of: Mike
Taylor, Operations Supervisor at (705) 538-1328 or emailed to same at mtaylor@gbtownship.ca.
Answers to pertinent questions, will be responded to and shared
with other proponents, via an addendum, to ensure a level playing
field for all Proponents. Questions received after this date and time
will not receive a response.
A clarification does not form part of the Proposal document.
