This project shall generally include design, permitting, and construction of various sanitary sewer improvements including replacement and abandonment of select gravity sewer pipes and manholes to reduce inflow and infiltration, replacement of Pump Station Nos. 1 and 4 with new duplex submersible systems, replacement of Pump Station No. 2 with new duplex two-stage suction lift system, replacement of four sanitary sewer force mains, and associated electrical, structural, and HVAC improvements. Pipe replacement shall be completed through open trench and trenchless (pipe bursting and horizontal directional drilling) methods. 10.00% 04/01/2024 at 4:30 PM ET Q & A Deadline All questions must be received through the Bid Express Service. Questions asked via email, phone, or otherwise will not be answered.. Contractor is to begin work within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, and to complete work within Seven Hundred Thirty (730) calendar days. The tenth (10th) day after receipt of Notice to Proceed shall be the official starting date unless the ten (10) day period is extended in writing by the Secretary. It is understood that if the work is not completed within the time above specified or such extension thereof, as shall be granted in accordance with the General Conditions, the Contractor shall pay the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as liquidated damages and not as a penalty for non-completion of work, the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per day for each and every calendar day thereafter until the work shall be completed and accepted. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
