A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Concrete Walkway & Drive/Parking Replacement The Project consists of primarily the replacement of the existing walkways, drive/parking, and entry stoops/steps and associated guard/handrails, as well as residual work required; as shown on the Drawings and stated in in the Project Manual for all associated work shown on the contract documents. Locations- Featherstone Townhomes 861 Featherstone Road Red Wing, MN 55066 Deer Run Townhomes 613 21st Street Red Wing, MN 55066 A. Base Bid #1 (Work at both Featherstone Townhomes and Deer Run Townhomes): 1. Removal and replacement of existing concrete walkways. 2. Removal and replacement of existing concrete drive/parking (Featherstone Townhomes Only). 3. Removal and replacement of existing entry door stoops and stairs, including foundations and footings. 4. Removal and replacement of existing entry stair guard/handrails. 5. Residual work such as cutting, patching, landscape restoration at disturbed areas, and construction damage repair for a complete project. B. Base Bid #2 (Additional Work at Deer Run Townhomes): 1. Removal and replacement of existing asphalt parking lots, both non-wearing course and wearing course, including preparation of existing aggregate base. 2. Residual work such as cutting, patching, landscape restoration at disturbed areas, and construction damage repair for a complete project. C. Alternates: 1. Alternates applicable to Base Bid #1: a. Alternate #1: Remove removal and replacement of existing concrete drive/parking from scope of work. b. Alternate #2: Add additional entry stair guardrails. 2. Alternates applicable to Base Bid #2: a. Alternate #3: Add removal and replacement of existing concrete drive/parking with new asphalt drive/parking, including preparation of existing aggregate base. It is the Bidder's responsibility to in- quire as to the addenda issued. A certified check or bank draft, pay- able to the order of the Red Wing Housing & Redevelopment Authority, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder(s) and an acceptable surety, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, must be submit- ted with each bid. No less than minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project (Davis-Bacon). Successful bidders must furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds, in the penal sum of the full amount of the contract awarded. It is the Housing and Redevelopment Authority's intention to award up to two prime contracts, one single prime contract to the lowest bid for each of the base bids listed on the bid form, for the project listed above, based on available funding. Construction must be completed prior to October 1, 2024 however the construction start date is flexible to allow for the best competitive pricing with the caveat that once construction on- site starts it needs to be continuous until fully completed. Contractors must take affirmative action to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, disability, familial status or status with regard to public assistance. HUD, Section 3 Compliance & Documentation are required on this project as stipulated in the Bid Documents and HUD Standards. The Red Wing Housing & Redevelopment Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
