Description of Job: Repair of a slope failure along the North Side of CR 430. This project involves the construction of a soldier pile and plug pile wall with a combined length of 224.0'. Work includes pavement and guardrail replacement. Question Deadline 03/27/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions will only be answered through online. Questions asked outside of online will not be answered. This is a Slope Failure Repair project to install 224.0' of a Soldier Pile & Plug Pile Wall. All Contractors must be ODOT prequalified at the time of bid, award and for the duration of construction. Contractors shall use the State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates that are provided within the Appendix of the bid specifications for this project. Please note that the Federal Wage Rates in effect at the time of the project sale date shall be used by all contractors. The Columbiana County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids or proposals. Each proposal must be accompanied by appropriate bid security in one of the following forms: An electronic Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in Ohio. No time limit for institution of suit shall be added to the Bond form. If a paper Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond is used, a facsimile of such bond shall be included with the submittal of the electronic bid. The Principal signature on the Bond shall be the same as the official authorized to sign the construction contract. In addition to this electronic facsimile, the bidder SHALL DELIVER ITS ORIGINAL UNALTERED BID GUARANTY to Columbiana County Commissioners, 105 South Market Street, Lisbon, Ohio 44432 in a sealed envelope with the project description within 48 hours after the bid deadline. This requirement applies to all bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish payment, performance and warranty bond in a sum not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total price bid for the completed work, said bond to be that of an approved surety company, to the satisfaction of the Columbiana County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The Contractor shall have all work completed in its entirety by June 21, 2024. Agents of bonding companies which write bonds for the performance of the contract shall furnish Power of Attorney, bearing the seal of the company, evidencing such agent's authority to execute the particular type of bond to be furnished, and evidencing also the right of the surety company to do business in the State of Ohio.
