Golden Valley and West Ranch High School Re-Roofing Project Site #1: Golden Valley High School - Location- 27051 Robert C. Lee Pkwy Santa Clarita, CA 91350 Site #2: West Ranch High School - 26255 Valencia Blvd. Stevenson Ranch, CA 91381 Background Install an adhered thermoplastic (PVC) feltback membrane roof system over existing gypsum cover board, including, but not limited to PVC membrane flashings, metal termination bars, and other components to comprise a weathertight roof system at two school sites. Sika Sarnafil products and system installation requirements have been utilized as the basis of design for this project. Last Day for Pre-Bid RFI's - project related questions shall be submitted via the District's eProcurement Portal Q&A feature.: March 29, 2024, 2:00pm. Not sooner than five calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, the District will issue a Notice to Proceed with the Work to the Contractor. The Contractor must commence performance of the Work on the Commencement Date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall complete all Work in accordance with any and all schedule milestones established for the Project pursuant to the Master Construction Schedule and other Contract Documents and within a total of 62 consecutive calendar days after the Commencement Date. Such milestone periods and time for completion of the Work shall be deemed to include, without limitations, any and all federal and state holidays observed by the Contractor and/or any of its Subcontractors, and any and all Rain Days. In submitting its bid, the Contractor is deemed to have accepted and agreed that performance of the Work within such total period and in accordance with all such milestones is reasonable and attainable. The District anticipates, but does not guarantee, that the foregoing will occur in accordance with the Timeline Section above in the Introduction Section of this document. Contractor commences Work: 5/31/2024 Contractor completes Work: 8/15/2024 Liquidated Damages. If a party is responsible for any liquidated damages in accordance with the General Provisions, the agreed amount of the liquidated damages, for each day or portion thereof, shall be $500 per day. REQUIRED BID SECURITY Each bid must be submitted with security as described in the instructions for Bidders. As described in the General Provisions, the successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a separate Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract Price, and each issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure AWARD OF CONTRACT The award of the Contract will be based on the following method of determining the lowest bid: lowest responsive bid.
