The Town of Grimsby is looking for submissions from qualified contractors to provide rehabilitation construction work for the existing Bowslaugh Road Bridge (BRDG000020) and Elm Tree Road West (Farrell) Bridge (BRDG000008). The existing Bowslaugh Road Bridge (BRDG000020) is a 6.1 metre single span reinforced rigid frame structure constructed circa 1969. The structure is approximately 19.5m metres wide and provides connection from Bowlsaugh Road to Kemp Road West over the Forty Mile Creek. The recommended rehabilitation works include patch, waterproof and pave, full depth patch repair along the centre of structure and replacing the damaged guiderails at the southeast and southwest corners. The bridge is approximately 0.03km North of Kemp Road West. The existing Elm Tree Road West (Farrell) Bridge (BRDG000008) is a 12.2 metre single span reinforced rigid frame structure constructed circa 1962. The structure is approximately 10.0 metres wide that provides Elm Tree Road West consistent connection over the Forty Mile Creek. The recommended rehabilitation works include replacing damaged guiderail and install new thrie beam guiderail along the length of the bridge railings. The bridge is approximately 0.80km West of Regional Road 12.
