Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a civil project in Okemah, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Scope of work to be completed is the construction of a new 3.0 MGD Water Treatment Plant north of Okemah's existing water treatment plant, 600' north of the intersection of W Columbia St and N 14th St. in Okemah and construction of a Raw Water Intake Structure at Okemah Lake. The existing above-grade clearwell will be the only unit utilized from the existing WTP upon completion of the new WTP. More specific scope items include: 1. Floating intake structure with vertical turbine pumps (2). CMU chemical pretreatment building at the intake site .Treatment plant metal building w/ Rapid mix, Superpulsator clarifiers (2), Gravity multi-media filters (4), Filtered water holding. Transfer pumps in FRP building .2 million gallon prestressed concrete clearwell .1 ton cylinder Chlorine disinfection system in CMU building .Chemical feed system in metal building. Office/Lab/Operations/Shop in metal building. High service pumps (4) in metal building .Concrete-line waste ponds w/ decanters and decant lift station .Backup generator w/ automatic transfer switch. Associated piping, flow measurement and misc equipment with appurtenances.Associated SCADA & Electrical system with appurtenances including elevated storage tanks connection to new SCADA system .Demolition of existing water treatment plant building, clarifiers, filters, and chemical building. The estimated construction cost of the project is $35,000,000. Funding for this project is provided through the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB). As such, compliance with the American Iron and Steel, and Labor Standards Contract Provisions is mandatory. System for Award Management (SAM) registration is required for all contractors. The purpose of the prequalification process is to select only those contractors that the Owner deems to be qualified and capable of completing the Project in conformance with the Contract Documents (i.e. plans, specifications, Project addenda, etc.) Only prequalified contractors will be allowed to submit a bid. Any Bids received from Bidders who were not prequalified will be returned unopened. Notice to Proceed August, 2024 Contractors desiring to submit a bid as a prime contractor for this project MUST submit their qualifications to the Owner and Engineer for approval. Contractors determined by Owner and Engineer to be qualified to perform the Work on the basis of their submitted qualifications will be notified that they have been prequalified for submitting a bid for the construction of the Project. Only prequalified bidders will be permitted to submit Bids for the construction project. Any Bids received from Bidders who were not prequalified will be returned unopened. Each program questionnaire, and any other submitted pages, must be signed under penalty of perjury by an individual who has the legal authority to bind the Contractor on whose behalf that person is signing. If any information provided by a Contractor change, the Contractor must immediately notify the City and provide updated, accurate information in writing. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received.
