Reference Number 0000266266 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/04/03 12:00:00 AM CDT The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Manitoba Transportation & Infrastructure (MTI) invites Service Providers (SPs) to submit a proposal for Archaeological Services for the Heritage Resources Impact Assessment: Shamattawa Winter Road Realignment & Little Grand Rapids and Pauingassi Winter Road, hereinafter called the Project. Provide an Overview Investigation (I.e., Desktop Based) of the General Study Area Which Characterizes Its Cultural History, Heritage, and Use of the Land; Conduct a Field Investigation of Project Areas Identified by Hrb (See Attached Heritage Screening Memos), Obtain a Permit From Hrb, and Conduct an Hria, Including Field Investigations for the Proposed Winter Road Projects of: Shamattawa First Nation Winter Road Realignment; and Little Grand Rapids First Nation and Pauingassi First Nation Winter Road; The Sp Shall Propose by Their Judgement the Estimated Amount of Helicopter Services They Require to Fulfill the Requirements on This Assignment. In Their Technical Proposal, the Sp Shall Provide a Description of Estimated Helicopter Services Such as: Quantity of Flights (Days), Frequency of Use (Hours) and Location of Destination Flights. Award of This Assignment Does Not Necessarily Approve the Estimated Helicopter Services Program as Described in the Technical Proposal as a Detailed Filed Investigation Plan Will Be Developed as Part of Obtaining a Permit From Hrb. Develop/recommend Any Mitigation and or Follow Up Measures That May Be Required in Order to Minimize Potential for Construction Related Effects on Heritage Resources, Which May Be Present at This Location. Mitigation Measures Shall Be Developed in Conjunction With Mti and Hrb Staff; Complete Separate Hria Reports of the Following Proposed Winter Roads: Shamattawa First Nation Winter Road Realignment; and Little Grand Rapids First Nation and Pauingassi First Nation Winter Road. Prepare a Heritage Resource Protection Plan (Hrpp) for Each of the Proposed Winter Roads. Project Location The location of the Project is situated near the communities of Shamattawa First Nation, Little Grand Rapids First Nation, and Pauingassi First Nation in Northern Manitoba.
