Description THIS PROJECT IS A RODGERS-THOMPSON TURNER JOINT VENTURE THIS IS A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE BIDS FOR THE MUSC - MECHANICAL ROOM EXPANSION (MRE). The project is an addition onto the MUSC's downtown campus, central plant. The project consists of: an approximately 6000-sf 3 level addition. Structural steel with penthouse cooling tower enclosure and galvanized steel catwalk; concrete foundations on pile caps and driven H-Piles; structural concrete deck over crawl space and perimeter foundation wall; composite concrete floor decks, levels 2, 3 & R. exterior masonry veneer and glass block, metal wall panels and louvers; modified bitumen roof system; fire sprinkler system extension; roof and floor drains and rainwater harvesting; 2500-ton expanded chiller capacity; replacement of existing cooling towers in addition to the added capacity; site chilled water distribution; Electrical substation expansion and distribution with branch distribution to expanded equipment. Removal of an existing UST and installation of a new 30,000-gal UST, including excavation shoring. We anticipate this work being awarded immediately after trade-partner interviews in April 2024.
