Bid Bond: If the bidder's bid amount is $100,000 or greater, the bidder shall submit, with the bid package, a bid bond from a surety company legally authorized to do business in Virginia in the amount of five percent (5%) of such Bid with the understanding that it shall guarantee that the bid prices remain valid during the period of Ninety (90) days Performance Bond: If the bidder's bid amount is $100,000 or greater, the bidder shall submit, with the bid package, evidence that it can obtain a Performance Bond from a surety company legally authorized to do business in Virginia in an amount equal to the contract sum.
