General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Certified Payroll - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 10 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 10 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 %. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) (not to exceed $20,000.00) of the total bid, payable to the County of Morris, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to the Bidder will enter into a contract and provide the necessary bonds, and insurance as required by the County and the Division of Risk Management. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond as specified in the Contract Documents. EACH BID MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH A CONSENT OF SURETY which states that the surety company will provide the Bidder with the performance bond specified in the Contract Documents in the event the Bidder is awarded the Contract. . The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope: (1) addressed to the County, (2) bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope, and (3) clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid # being bid. This work shall consist of cleaning the Project Limits, including the adjacent roadway, to the satisfaction of the RE, including removal of construction debris, rubbish, excess materials, temporary structures, field office, excess fill materials, etc. a. The contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, services, insurance (with specific coverage for asbestos), and incidentals which are necessary or required to perform the work in accordance with applicable governmental regulations and these specifications. b. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all asbestos-containing material from the building prior to demolition. c. The following asbestos containing material and presumed asbestos containing materials exist at the site: See the attached Hazardous Materials Inspection reports. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all hazardous materials that meet the definition of Universal waste according to applicable federal regulations (40 CFR 273.1 to 273.9) and state regulations (NJCA 7:26-7.1 to 7:26A - 7.7) where the more stringent requirements shall be adhered to. These materials shall include but not limited to all florescent light bulbs, high intensity light discharge lamps, mercury switches, thermostats, batteries and light ballasts containing PCBs. This work shall also include the removal and disposal of materials containing lead-based paint and its disposal in accordance with applicable regulations
