The Project consists of the following: 2" Mill and Overlay on Campus Drive from Labrador to the bypass. The work to be performed under this contract shall be completed and ready for acceptance no later than September 1, 2024. The time of starting and completion is an essential part of this Contract. The contractor will reimburse the City for liquidated damages at $200.00 a day, as the General Conditions prescribes. The time hereinabove fixed for the completion of the Contract shall be extended for a period equivalent to the time lost because of inclement weather or other causes over which the contractor has no control. The Director of Public Works & Utilities or his designee shall determine the extension period from the contractor's weekly documentation. The decision shall be final and binding upon both parties. The City shall insert the following notification in all solicitations for bids for work or material subject to the Regulations and made in connection with all federally-funded programs and, in all proposals for negotiated agreements.
